VERSION HISTORY ALL ANDROID TECHNOLOGY


The development of smartphone technology is now so's a big one, it is not denied by the emergence of a new operating system designed specifically for mobile phones that is called Android . Commonly known as the Android mobile phone operating system based on Linux. Then who created Android? Maybe some of us already know that Android is a mobile operating system technologies are created by Google. It was a big mistake, because Android was first developed by the mobile phone companies are located in California, USA is called Android Inc. since 2000.

With rumors will see the potential and future development of mobile technology well enough, then I felt drawn to cooperate with Android Inc.. And in the end I bought it for a better developed. We formed a team called the Open Handset Alliance (OHA) in cooperation with 34 companies and telecommunication software and hardware, they consist of Google, HTC, Intel, Motorola, Qualcomm, T-Mobile, Nvidia and others.

On 5 November 2007, Andorid states to support the development of open source on mobile devices. On the other hand, Google released the Android code under the Apache license, a license software and open source mobile device platform. There are two types of distributors operating system Andoroid, the first distributor that gets full support from Google or Google play Service (GMS) and the second is a truly distributed freely without direct support from Google or the Open Handset Distribution in the know (OHD).

September 2007, Google introduced the Nexus One, the kind of smartphone that uses Android as its OS. HTC Nexus is produced by the corporation and are available in the market on January 5, 2008. On 9 December 2008, there is a new alliance that joined the Android namely ARM Holdings, Atheros Communications, Asus, Softbank, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Vodafone.

On December 9, 2008, announced new members who join the work program Android ARM Holdings, Atheros Communications, manufactured by Asustek Computer Inc, Garmin Ltd, Softbank, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba Corp, and Vodafone Group Plc. As the formation of the Open Handset Alliance, OHA announced their first product, Android, a mobile device is a modified Linux kernel 2.6. Since Android was released many updates have been made in the form of bug fixes and the addition of new features.

Android Version 1.0 (Apple pie)

Android 1.0 was released on 23 September 2008, which has the code name of Apple pie and a screen size of 320 × 480 HVGA.

Android version 1.1 (Banana bread)

Android 1.1 was released on February 9, 2009 which has the code name of Banana bread and a screen size of 320 × 480 HVA.

Android 1.5 (Cupcake)

Android 1.5 was released on 30 April 2009, which has a code name Cupcake. There are several updates including the addition of several features: the ability to record and watch videos, upload videos to YouTube and pictures to Picasa directly from the mobile phone, Bluetooth support, animated screen and keyboard on the screen that can be adapted to the system.

Android 1.6 (Donut)

Android 1.6 was released on 15 September 2009, which has code-named Donut. This version of Android Cupcake improved by displaying the search process better than before, battery usage indicator and control applet VPN. Another feature is the gallery that allows the user to select the photos to be removed; ability to dial contacts, technological change text to speech (not available on all phones); procurement VWGA resolution.

Android version 2.0/2.1 (Eclair)
Android 2.0/2.1 version was released on December 3, 2009 with the code name Eclair. changes made are hardware optimization, improved Google Maps 3.1.2, change the UI with a new browser and support for HTML5, the new list of contacts, support flash for the camera of 3.2 MP, digital zoom, and Bluetooth 2.1.

Android version 2.2 (Froyo)

Android version 2.2 released on May 20, 2010 that has code-named Froyo. Froyo would introduce increased speed with JIT optimization and the Chrome V8 JavaScript engine, and added Wi-Fi hotspot and support for Adobe Flash.

Android version 2.3 (Gingerbread)

Android version 2.3 was released on December 6, 2010 with the code name Gingerbread. Android Gingerbread is android that simplify the user interface, improved the soft keyboard and features copy / paste, and added support for Near Field Communication. in this version of Android has an update that was released 5 times on different dates and difitur addition of new features, each of them is Android 2.3.3, Android 2.3.4, Android 2.3.5, Android 2.3.6 and Puspa Android 2.3.7

Android version 3.0 (Honeycomb)

Android version 3.0 was released on July 15, 2011 which has a code name Honeycomb. In this version of Android then it was on a tablet, and the first tablet that uses the operating system Honeycomb is the Motorola Xoom.

Android version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

Android version 4.0 was released on October 19, 2011 which has a code name Ice Cream Sandwich. In perfecting the whole GUI version of Android that was built and enhanced features such as facial recognition (Face Unlock), UI use hardware acceleration, Better voice recognition (dictating / Voice typing), Web browser, Allows up to 16 tabs, Updated launcher (customizable), Android Beam app to exchange the data through NFC, resizeable widgets
